Berkhamsted ladies are performing well in Watford & District competitions this season.  With all competitions now nearing their climax, Mary Millar and Marcia Pearce are in the pairs semi-final, and Marion Maynard, Ann Cutting and Jackie Cormack are playing in the triples semi-final.  Berkhamsted also have 2 of the semi-finalist teams in the 2-wood triples competition - Judy Kenyon, Edie Coxhill with skip Mary Cave and Carole Dunn, Anne Furlong with skip Jackie Cormack.

All semi-finals will be played at Potten End BC on Wednesday 5th September and everyone is welcome to come along to support their team

Last weekend Berkhamsted Bowls Club played their annual one-day mixed pairs competition for the prestigious Sylvia Gloynham Trophy.  This trophy, originally presented by John Gloynham in memory of his late wife, is a large Caithness glass orb mounted on a plinth, and is keenly contested for by many members of the club.  This year's winners were Carole Dunn and Maurice Primo, a second year bowler at Berkhamsted.
