Two Berkhamsted ladies, Alice Biggs and Jackie Cormack, are through to the last 8 of the County Singles after successfully playing 2 more rounds during the first week of July. Jackie’s successes were at Havers Park and Hatfield and Alice played one match at home and the other at Roebuck in Stevenage. The quarter final set date is Monday 9th July and Jackie will be playing at Shirley Bradbury at Letchworth Conservatives green and Alice plays June Lonergan from Sele Farm at Berkhamsted.
On Monday 2nd Terry Kenyon beat John Alan in the Watford & District Officers Singles 21-10.
Two rinks of Berkhamsted ladies visited Tring Bowls club on Friday afternoon in the League and had successes on both League and Friendly rinks. The friendly rink had a comfortable win but the league was more closely fought.
Berkhamsted played hosts to Amersham in a friendly triples match on a sunny Sunday afternoon and beat their guests on all rinks. Top rink was skipped by Alan Parsons with Malcolm Wood and Mary Millar.
