At the start of a very busy week Berkhamsted played Oxhey Pavilion in a 4 rink mixed triples and ran out winners by 77 shots to 53.  Top rink was Edie Coxhill, Marion Maynard and Lesley Brown.

3 mixed rinks travelled to Townsend B C during the week winning on all rinks to give a total of 72 shots to 55. Top rink was Carole Dunn, Pat Ringwood, Alan Dann and John Webb.

Our ladies played a very exciting game against Tring B C which finished as a draw 50 shots each. Top rink:- Rita Wellam, Jackie Cormack and Mary Lamb.

In the National mixed fours, Lesley and David Brown, Jackie and Colin Cormack beat a team skipped by Garry Warrender from Hertford Castle by one shot to progress to the next round.

Marion Maynard, Lesley Brown and Mary Clarke beat a team from Owls B C 19-14 in the County Triples competition.  Carole Dunn, Marcia Pearce and Edie Coxhill beat a team from Kings Langley in the same competition, whilst Carole Dunn, Mary Clarke, Jackie Cormack and Anne Furlong won in the County fours.

On Saturday we played host to 6 rinks from North Watford who were the day's winners by 105 shots to 94. Top rink was Maurice Primo, Alan Dann and Ken Maynard.

The men finished the week on a high by beating Whit Hern B C at Cheshunt in the County Top Ten competition by 6 points to 2. Ken Maynard winning the singles, John Webb and Terry Kenyon winning the pairs and Alan Dann, Derek Cox and Wally Dunn winning the triples.
