Berko men won through to the semi-finals of the St Albans and District Jones Cup with a 17 shot win against Borehamwood B C. thanks to top rink Eric Lamb, David Lovett, David Brown and Colin Cormack.

Our Ladies also had an 11 shot first round win against Tring Ladies in the Watford and District "Jubilee Cup" with top rink going to Carole Dunn, Janet Jackson and Mary Clarke.

Ken Maynard won 21- 17 at Hatfield in the St Albans and District mens singles and Derek Cox and Eric Lamb won 25 - 17 in the Watford and District pairs.

The men didn't fair so well in the Watford & District Ray Cup, losing over three rinks to Oxhey B C by just 6 shots despite the best efforts of top rink Frank Cutting, Derek Saunders Derek Cox and Ken Maynard.

Four mixed rinks did well at Amersham B C winning 83 - 62 with top rink going to Frank Cutting, Alan Osborne, Mary Cave and Marcia Pearce, and four triples rinks did equally as well beating Rivets B C 82 - 60. Top rink going to Geoff Gibbs, Mary Millar and Anne Cutting.

Not so good at Chalfont St. Giles though! One rink crashed to pull the overall score down, allowing Chalfont to win 94 - 87, despite the efforts of top rink Maureen Cox, Judy Kenyon and Derek Saunders.
