Berkhamsted men recorded a good win at Kitcheners bowls club on Tuesday 2 May with a 79 shot to 55 shot victory.  Berkhamsted's top winning rink was:- Dave Sear, Jeff Cawley, Peter Batchelor and Alan Parsons.

Two mens rinks visited Garston Bowls Club on Sunday 7th May to contest the preliminary round of the National two fours competition. After 21 ends of a terrific game the aggregate scores was tied at 41 shots each, requiring an extra end to be played by one of the rinks. With Berkhamsted holding 3 shots, a Garston short bowl was knocked into an unassailable position in the head were it remained to give Garston narrowest of victories.

 On a lovely sunny afternoon, a mixed friendly at home against Harpenden Bowls Club matched the weather and a very enjoyable game finished with a 125-102 win for Berkhamsted. The winning top rink was Doris Mills, Lyle Scott-Darling, Dave Sear and Mary Clarke.
