Berkhamsted have enjoyed success in their mixed friendly matches over the last week. They beat Potters Bar by 99 - 51, with the top rink being Alan Dann, Derek Saunders, and Lesley Brown.

They beat BP Oil by 58 shots to 51, top rink being Alan Osborne, Dave Lovett, Malcolm Wood, and Derek Cox.

They beat Waddesden by 98 shots to 55. The top Berko rink was Dave Sear, Mary Cave, Derek Cox, and Edie Coxhill.

Unfortunately in the quarter finals of the National Top Ten competition the ladies were defeated by Northaw & Cuffley despite a brave fight by the teams of Edie Coxhill, Doreen Webb, Marcia Pearce, Carole Dunn, Anne Furlong, Jackie Cormack, Alice Sexton, Mary Lamb, Janet Jackson and Mary Cave.

In Watford & District competitions Carole Dunn, Anne Furlong and Doreen Webb defeated a trio from Bushey in the 2 wood triples and Doreen Webb and Anne Furlong also progressed to the 4th round of the County Pairs.
