Berkhamsted men had a winning week - Ken Maynard moved on another round in the Herts. County singles with a last three end surge of 8 shots to beat A Hay 23-15 and Eric Lamb had an excellent win against John Head 21-17 to maintain his interest, also in the County Singles.

Our pairs teams also had a good week, Derek Cox and David Brown won 24-13 in the County pairs.

Tony Perry kept the singles wins going by beating David Day 21-6 in the 2nd round of the St. Albans and District singles.

Eric Lamb and Tony Perry won 23-16, and Alan Parsons and Bill Sharpling won 20-13, both in the Watford and District pairs.

A Watford and District pairs win was also achieved by our Ladies when Judy Kenyon and Mary Cave won 25-9 away at Owls B.C.

In the St. Albans and District pairs Ken Maynard and Frank Cutting won 27-10, Eric Lamb and Tony Perry won 19-16. Alan Parsons and Bill Sharpling were taken to an extra end by L Rackham and Tony Izzard at Townsend, but secured an excellent win with two shots on that extra end.

Eric Lamb, Colin Cormack and Tony Perry were also successful in the St Albans and District Triples, winning 15-10.

A Ladies duo of Carol Dunn and Edie Coxhill beat Doreen Hodson-Smith and Sue Larkins of Welwyn and District in the National over 55 pairs.
