Berkhamsted got off to a great start to the season when we visited our friends at Potten End.  A 6 rink mixed friendly was played in the best spirit of bowls with Berkhamsted coming out on top, thanks to a top rink of Eric Challis, Lesley Hersee, Frank Cutting and Doreen Webb.  The match score was 111 to 105 with remarkably, three rinks drawing.

Unfortunately, one of our mens cup teams lost by just one shot to Tring in the National Lincoln two fours on the Sunday.  "Bad luck chaps", lets hope our other National fours two rink team has better luck.

On the Monday Bank Holiday, Marcia Pearce organised a Club fun day of target bowls, the prize money going to Beryl Parsons, Len Scott and Derek Cox
