The men from Berkhamsted played in the final of the Watford & District Griffin Cup on Saturday.  With both teams winning a rink each, Mill End eventually ran out winners with a higher aggregate score across both rinks.

With all Club semi-finals now complete, arrangements are now well underway for the Club's finals weekend which takes place on the 4th and 5th September.  A full schedule of finals matches will be available to view on Berko's web site www.berkobc.com later this week.

 Two friendly matches took place this week.  On Wednesday Berko hosted three mixed rinks from Bovingdon, which Berkhamsted won 49 shots to 46.  The top Berko rink was Kevin Clarke, Frank Furlong, Alan Medland, and Mary Cave.

On Sunday Berko entertained 4 mixed rinks from Tring with Berkhamsted once again winning the day 74 shots to 68.  Berko's top rink on this occasion was Val Atkinson, Howard Brown, Len Scott, and Ken Maynard with a 9 shot winning margin.
