Very quiet District and County week as all finalists are now known.   Berkhamsted men are playing the Griffin Cup final against Mill End on Saturday 28 August at Herts B.C. (3pm).  The Watford and District mens finals are on 5th September with Eric Lamb and Tony Perry representing the club in the pairs.

Eric Lamb, Wally Dunn, David Brown, and Colin Cormack are representing Berko in the St. Albans & District fours final against a St. Albans four, and Terry Kenyon in the Officers singles.  The St Albans and District finals are on 11 September at Harperbury B.C..

Most activity is now centred around the Clubs internal competitions with many semi-finals being resolved to sort out our finalists for our finals weekend of 4th and 5th September.

This Saturday saw Harpenden get their revenge for an early season defeat when they beat our away team by 123 shots to 105. As is usual at Harpenden the match was played in a friendly atmosphere on a very good green.  Berkhamsted however did have two rinks who tied for top rink honours - Sandra Dann, Doris Mills, Geoff Gibbs and Tony Perry won 24 - 16, whilst Marion Maynard, Eric Challis, Lesley Hersee and Frank Cutting won 27 - 19.
