With the outdoor season drawing to its conclusion, it has been a quiet week for Berko bowlers with only one match being played this weekend.  Berko played Kings Langley on Sunday - a 3 rink friendly fixture along with the semi-final of the Dacorum Shield competition.  Kings Langley won the friendly match by 4 shots, the top Berko rink being Jim Fulton, Mike Burton, Colin Cox, and skip Janice Murgatroyd.
The Dacorum Shield match, which is played over 3 rinks - 1 ladies, 1 men, and 1 mixed, was won by Berkhamsted with a score of 61 shots to 53.  Berko now go on to play in the final at Potten End on Friday 25th September at 2:30pm.  The top Berkhamsted rink was Carole Dunn, Janet Jackson, Mary Lamb, and skip Jackie Cormack who won by 30 shots to 14.
