On Saturday, Berkhamsted entertained a team from Harperbury in a 4 rink mixed triples match. Thanks to victories on three rinks, the home side ran out comfortable winners with an overall score of 75 shots to 49. Top rink was Val Atkinson, Janet Jackson and skip Ken Maynard with score of 29 shots to 7.

 In the second home match of the weekend and the penultimate friendly game of this season, Berko played host to local rivals from Kings Langley. Because the visitors had difficulties raising a full side, the match was played with 3 rinks of mixed triples and 3 rinks of mixed fours. This arrangement clearly suited Kings Langley who, in spite of losing on 3 of the 6 rinks, still managed to win by 125 shots to 113. Top rink for the home team was Christine Burton, Andrew Fenwick and skip David Brown with a score of 29 shots to 9.
