Berkhamsted continue to figure in the County Competitions. Tony Perry won his 6th round match in the County Singles by 21 shots to 12 at Ware. He now plays in the quarter-finals at Shire park on Thursday 17th July.

In the County Pairs, Eric Lamb and Tony Perry won their 6th round match at Hatfield to advance to the quarter-finals to be played at Oak Hill on Wednesday 16th July.

 Three victories were reported in the St Albans and District. Tony Perry advanced to the third round of the singles with a 21 shot to 8 win over a strong Hatfield player. Ken Maynard went one better in the same competition with a score of 21 shots to 7. In the District fours Eric Lamb, David Brown, Colin Cormack and skip Tony Perry recorded a fine 25 shot to 8 victory at Townsend, in a one sided match to progress to the quarter-finals.

 On Sunday Berko played host to Amersham in a four rink mixed friendly fixture. Each Club won on two rinks, but the margin of victory was greater for the visitors who ran out comfortable winners. Top rink for Berko was Edie Brittain, Colin Cox, Colin Jones and skip Geoff Wheatley who won by 26 shots to 20.
