Jackie Cormack; Lesley Brown; David Brown and skip Colin Cormack have won through to the final of the St Albans & District Stockman-Winser Trophy. They proved too strong for a team from Harperbury, winning by 25 shots to 16. The final will be played at Townsend on the Sunday 7th September.
Jackie then teamed up with Doreen Webb and Marcia Pearce to win through to the finals of the Benevolent Triples. The winners from four venues, having already played 4 games each, will play the final knockout stages at Hatfield on September 9th.
Not content with two successes, Jackie then turned in a solo performance to win through to the semi-final of the Watford & District singles with a 21 shot to 17 victory. She will be joined by Edie Coxhill who also won her quarter-final match.
Ken Maynard has reached the semi-final of the St Albans & District singles with a hard won 21-18 victory.
The Berko men won their County League match against neighbours Potten End, with an overall score of 51 shots to 37. Top rink was Eric Millar; David Lovett; Alan Parsons and skip Derek Cox who won by 30 shot to 14.
In the friendly mixed matches there were wins against B.P. with 60 shot to 45 score line. Top rink was Janet Dellamuro; Mike Burton; Derek Sandford and skip Derek Cox with a 28-14 win.
On Saturday Berkhamsted took three rinks to Chesham Broadway and came away victorious with a 66-56 result. Top rink was Mary Garner; Alan Osborn; Derek Cox and skip Marcia Pearce with a 27-13 win.
Berko continued their winning run on Sunday when they entertained Dunstable in a 5 rink match. Although winning on 4 rinks, the home side only won by 6 shots overall. Top rink was Frank Cutting; 16 year old Andrew Fenwick; Frank Dellamuro and skip Mary Millar with a 21 shot to 12 victory.
